Why do you lose motivation after a few days?

You start a new routine feeling motivated. You plan your meals, schedule workouts, and promise yourself you’ll stay consistent.

Then motivation fades, and the routine begins to fall apart.

That’s normal. Motivation changes with your mood, stress, sleep, and daily workload. It isn’t reliable enough to run your life.

Instead of asking yourself whether you feel like doing something, follow a plan or a system.

For example, walk for 15 minutes after dinner rather than waiting until you feel motivated to exercise.

Take small actions to get started. Repeat them until they become habits and eventually part of your lifestyle.

Don’t build habits around your mood or feelings. Build them around a system you can consistently follow.

Motivation can help you start, but a system helps you keep going.
