You can follow your diet plan during the day and still struggle with cravings at night. Poor sleep could be one reason.
When you’re sleep-deprived, hunger, appetite, mood, and energy can all become harder to manage. You may crave more calorie-dense foods and feel less motivated to exercise.
That doesn’t mean one bad night will ruin your progress. The problem is when poor sleep becomes your normal routine.
Start with three changes:
- Keep your wake-up time consistent.
- Avoid caffeine later in the day.
- Get 7–9 hours of sleep.
Before making your diet stricter, check whether you’re consistently getting enough sleep.
Fat loss gets harder when your daily routine keeps working against you.
