How often should I weigh myself when losing fat?

Your weight can fluctuate even while losing fat.

Changes in water retention, salt intake, carbohydrate intake, and digestion can affect the number on the scale. A higher reading doesn’t automatically mean you’ve gained fat.

Weigh yourself once a week, preferably on Sunday morning, after using the toilet and before eating or drinking. Use the same scale and similar conditions each time.

Don’t judge your progress by one week’s reading. Track your weight over several weeks to see whether you’re actually losing fat.
