Do carbs make you fat?

Carbs don’t automatically make you gain fat. Consistently eating more calories than your body burns is what leads to fat gain over time.

Rice, roti, potatoes, and other carb-rich foods can all fit into your diet without causing fat gain. What matters is your overall calorie intake.

Carbs can increase your weight temporarily because your body stores them as glycogen, along with water. That increase on the scale doesn’t mean you’ve gained fat.

If you enjoy carbs, you don’t need to eliminate them. Manage your portions and keep your overall calorie intake in check.

Carbs aren’t the enemy. Eating more calories than you burn consistently is the problem.
